Company History
Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital was dedicated July 1, 1931, as a living memorial to the late great copper magnate, Marcus Daly. This was made possible through the philanthropy of the late Margaret P. Daly.
Operation of the hospital, a private, non-profit corporation, was vested in an eleven-person Board of Trustees. The Board continues to honor the original creed stated in 1931..."to treat all in need of its service without regard to color, race, religion, national origin, or ability to pay."
On April 16, 1975, our forty-eight bed facility was opened and began receiving patients from Ravalli County. Our objective remains unchanged..."to provide for those equally who are in need of our services."
On December 1, 2004, the hospital was designated as a twenty-five bed Critical Access Hospital.
