Description

We are seeking a motivated Health & Wellness Coach to join our patient-centered care team. This role supports the medical doctor in helping patients achieve lifestyle outcomes through practical guidance and ongoing accountability. The position emphasizes habits around sleep, stress management, nutrition, and exercise within a structured health program. 

Responsibilities

• Partner with patients to set and achieve realistic health and wellness goals.
• Provide education and coaching on lifestyle factors including daily habits, sleep, stress, nutrition, and activity.
• Support the medical team in reinforcing treatment plans and improving patient outcomes.
• Track progress and provide feedback to patients and the supervising physician.
• Contribute to group programs and individual coaching sessions.

Position Details

• Hybrid or Remote via Telehealth Platform.
• Part-time, flexible hours (1099 contractor role).

Requirements

Requirements:

• National Board Certification for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) or equivalent formal training in health coaching, behavioral science, nutrition, fitness, or related field.
• Experience working directly with clients/patients to support lifestyle changes (diet, exercise, stress, sleep, or wellness).
• Familiarity with motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral strategies, or habit-change frameworks.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build trust quickly.
• Comfort working as part of a clinical or wellness team under physician supervision.
• Tech-savvy and able to use digital tools for patient tracking, scheduling, and communication.

Preferred but not required:

• Experience in a healthcare or primary care setting.
• Familiarity with group coaching or running health programs.
• Degree in a relevant field (psychology, counseling, nutrition, exercise science, etc.).
