Duke Health seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner at our Neurological Sleep Clinic at locations in the growing communities of Durham and Cary, NC. This is a terrific opportunity to subspecialize in insomnia and help build an academic Sleep program. The advanced practice provider in this role will provide feedback important to the department and success of this growing program.
The APP in this role will:
Provide specialized care for patients with insomnia and related sleep disorders
Deliver Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBTi) and pharmacologic management for insomnia
Order and schedule laboratory studies and professional consultations, collect and document patient data
Experience
1+ years of experience treating patients with insomnia preferred
Formal training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBTi) strongly preferred
Comfort with prescribing insomnia medications required
APP Hours
Monday–Friday, day shift, with flexibility to meet clinic needs
Eight 4-hr patient-facing sessions and two 4-hr administrative sessions per week
No call or weekends
